I painted the “Wave Series” during the Covid-19 lockdown. Going to the beach regularly became an integral part of our lives during this isolated period—a way to take refuge from the chaos of it all. Sitting at the beach watching the waves crash on the sand felt peaceful, safe and far from everything. This series of paintings was inspired by those therapeutic waves and also serves as a diary of what was undoubtedly one of the most unsettling times in our lives.
