To me, the lines in a painting speak volumes. It’s the lines’ expressiveness through movement, rhythm and intensity; they speak a powerful visual language and it’s my favorite element in a painting. But when it’s painted alone, I believe it has even a greater impact on the viewer for its simplicity.
